Joint Aspiration is also known as Arthrocentesis it is a medical procedure used to remove fluid from a joint using a needle. It helps relieve pain, reduce swelling and diagnose joint conditions. The procedure is commonly performed on large joints like the knee (knee aspiration/knee joint aspiration), ankle (ankle joint aspiration), and sacroiliac joint (medium joint arthrocentesis sacroiliac joint). It can also be done for smaller joints such as the temporomandibular joint (arthrocentesis TMJ).
